Often in business we have identified an end goal that we are working towards. Effective business leaders identify what decisions need to be made and make them. We can avoid decisions or know that there is a situation that should be addressed that we neglect in the hope that it will resolve itself or that the decision will be made for us. Instead we need to make the decision and move on. This may involve calculating the benefits and cost of various scenarios and actively choosing one, or sometimes not to proceed with any may be the best decision. It is unmade or passive decisions that can be dangerous.
